Jacqueline Fernandez hails from Manama in Bahrain. She was raised in an ethnically diverse family. Her father, Elroy Fernandez is Sri Lankan. She is the younger of two sisters and one older brother. She later resigned her career in the sport to pursue a career as a model. Padukone has Mangalorean roots and is fluent in Konkani as her mother tongue. Her lineage is from Padukone village in Kundapura Taluk in the Udupi District of Karnataka, the Indian state. Karnataka, India.
